We met Brian LeBlanc, a professional driver with 21 years of diverse diving experience. He has had four to five thousand dives within the last 9 plus years since he joined J&B Underwater Services as a partner.

According to Brian the underwater world is mysterious yet calming thanks to no noise pollution. The water pollution, he says, has decreased (Boston) also as people are now aware of the issues involved. He insists that we should take care of nature as it will take care of us.

Brian has many years of experience in diving though according to him it is not easy. It involves a number of aspects because it is a complete science and one must

•         Learn physiology
•         Be physically fit
•         Get certifications
•         Get work experience
•         Respect the marine life
•         Be ready for anything

When we asked him about his best and worst experience he said that the worst experiences are met when a diver is not mentally ready, so taking a pro’s advice ensure that when you are not in the mood don’t jump or stay underwater for a longer time as a divided mind will let you make impaired decisions that can be disastrous. It is better that you go down there and enjoy the calmness. Be respectful of the habitats of other wonderful marine life and relish in it.

Brain and his partner offer a range of services. 70% of their business is hull cleaning. Boat cleaning involves everything below the waterline irrespective of the size and type of the boat. They clean rudders, propellers, keels, thru hulls, running gear, and install zincs. Apart from this Brian also does mooring chain cleaning and shackle changing, cleaning pilings in the marinas, and changing rudders. Search and recovery forms a crucial part of his diving where he helps people find lost stuff, scooping things from the bottom of the sea and returning it.

About boat maintenance Brian is of the view that it should be a regular exercise. The reasons he offers are words of wisdom for all boat owners. He regards regular boat maintenance and using a professional diver as a means to save dough, time, and effort.

Referring to how he gets work Brian informed us that in his profession it is word of mouth that plays the biggest role in getting work. He says that more than 80% of his work is through referrals. The reason for this came out as another huge tip:
