Difference between SuperYacht and MegaYacht
This question I have posed to many people, in which all give a uniquely different perspective.
But here is an attempt to come up with an explanation of the difference:
A SuperYacht is a large, luxury yacht that is typically used for recreational purposes and is usually owned by a wealthy individual or corporation. SuperYachts are typically defined as being longer than 80 feet (24 meters) in length and can be equipped with a range of amenities and features such as swimming pools, helipads, and multiple decks.
A MegaYacht, on the other hand, is an even larger type of yacht that is typically defined as being longer than 200 feet (61 meters) in length. MegaYachts are even more luxurious and lavish than super yachts, and are often equipped with even more amenities and features such as grand staircases, spas, and movie theaters. I have even seen photos of a 100 foot submarine that was able to dock inside a SuperYacht. The key difference between a SuperYachts and a MegaYachts is their size. This means that mega yachts typically cost more to build, operate, and maintain than SuperYachts.
Another difference between the two types of yachts is the level of customization and personalization that is available. MegaYachts are often built to the specific specifications and requirements of their owners, and can be outfitted with a wide range of custom features and amenities. SuperYachts, on the other hand, are typically more standardized and may not offer as much customization. Essentially SuperYachts are custom custom.
Overall, the differences between SuperYachts and MegaYachts are their size, level of luxury, and customization options. SuperYachts are large, luxurious vessels that are typically used for recreational purposes, while MegaYachts are even larger and more extravagant that are designed to cater to the most discerning and demanding clients.
